The textile and garment industry in Thailand is considered one of the largest and most comprehensive industries, encompassing several sub-industries. When examining the market aspects of the textile and garment industry, it can be divided into three main sectors: the textile industry, the garment industry, and the textile and garment handicraft industry. These three sectors cover 14 major products, along with over 100 additional sub-products. The garment manufacturing industry, specifically ready-made clothing, is one of the highest employers in the supply chain of textile production. The important activities in the downstream textile industry include sewing, machine stitching, and design. Currently, most operators focus on utilizing labor as the key resource. The downstream textile industry, which represents the final manufacturing process, is the most profitable sector within the textile industry and contributes significantly to the country's revenue.
