It is one of the target industries identified by the government as a key driver of the future economy, aligning with national policies under the 20-Year National Strategy and the 13th National Economic and Social Development Plan, which aim to position Thailand as a global hub for health and wellness services.

Accordingly, the development of Occupational Standards and the implementation of Professional Qualification for personnel in the health service sector not only enhance the professional competency of the workforce in line with the Professional Qualification system but also support the country’s capacity to produce highly skilled healthcare professionals. This effort is essential to achieving Thailand’s strategic goal of becoming an international Medical Hub.
