The Industrial Manufacturing and Management Competency Standard

The Thailand Professional Qualification Institute (Public Organization) and the Federation of Thai Industries recognize the necessity of enhancing the competencies of personnel in the industrial sector, including upgrading and developing factory managers to be knowledgeable in organizational management and development. This also includes the application of technology in factory management for improved efficiency. The individuals who are vital and central to the manufacturing sector are the personnel in the production lines. To address this, the Thailand Professional Qualification Institute (Public Organization), the Federation of Thai Industries, and JMA Management Center Inc. of Japan have jointly developed the Occupational Standards for production personnel/technicians in four levels: 3, 4, 5, and 6. These levels are based on the Production Meister Program curriculum from JMA Management Center Inc. of Japan, which has been studied and analyzed to ensure its suitability for the context and needs of the Thai industry. This initiative aims to promote personnel with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to support Industry 4.0 in a sustainable manner.
