As Thailand's economy expands into the global market, Thai society and its people must also become more international. The labor market requires human resources with skills in digital technology, mathematics and computation, specialized professional skills, and English language proficiency. Developing Thai human resources to be more internationally competitive by enhancing English language skills will strengthen the potential of Thai entrepreneurs, enabling them to increase economic value throughout the entire supply chain, both domestically and internationally. As Thailand becomes a member of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) alongside 10 other member countries and designates "English" as the "official language" for communication between countries, various surveys have shown that only 10% of Thailand's population can communicate in English. Therefore, to prevent losing competitive opportunities to foreign countries, the development of English language proficiency standards has been established. This will benefit students, government officials, state employees, and the general public in improving their English language skills.
