The textile and apparel industry in Thailand plays important role in the country’s GDP and export earnings. It can be divided into three major industries which include textile industry, apparel industry, textile and handicraft industry. Thailand’s textile and apparel production has become an integrated and diverse industry that covers 14 main products and more than 100 sub-products. Apparel industry in the form of ready-made garments generate the highest employment in the supply chain. Downstream textile industry such as logistics and inventory control is considered the final production of the textile which is labor intensive segment and generates the most revenue for the country.
