Thailand has continuously improved safety, occupational health, and working environment. To raise awareness and encourage workers of all levels to recognize the importance of occupational safety and health, the government r and has announced “Healthy and Safe Workers” policy as a national policy. The key goal is to reduce occupational accidents and work-related diseases of the workers, a key driver of economic development, to benefit their physical and mental health.

Occupational standards and professional qualifications for occupational health and safety resulted from participation of professionals in the field to ensure demand-driven occupational standard development that fits for Thailand and is aligned with international and AEC best practices. The development of occupational health and safety standards and professional qualifications facilitated the networks that would improve and raise awareness about the standards and qualifications to the wider public.
