Occupational standards and professional qualifications for construction and urban planning resulted from participation of professionals in the field to ensure demand-driven ­­­­­occupational standard development that fits for Thailand and is aligned with international and AEC best practices.  The development of construction and urban planning standards and professional qualifications facilitated the networks that would improve and raise awareness about the standards and qualifications to the wider public.

Occupational standards and professional qualifications for construction and urban planning is developed by analyzing up-to-date construction and urban planning data  together with functional analysis.  Many fields are included such as drafting and cost estimation, foundation work, supervision, decoration, ­­­­and urban planning.  There are also many occupations in each field, and all the occupations meet pressing needs of the country.
