Online learning based on Occupational Standards and Professional Qualifications (E–Training)
Currently, the use of information technology systems and digital content has gained widespread popularity making information accessible to the public. Therefore, competency units in the Occupational Standards and Professional Qualifications should be made more accessible so that it could support professionals and learners who would like to learn on their own. E-training based on occupational standards should be developed along with other activities and progresses in the Professional Qualifications system. This will serve as a tool to enhance quality of workforce, facilitating individuals in achieving competencies according to the standards and to enhance their opportunities to achieve higher Professional Qualifications. Furthermore, it will enable them to compete internationally. E-training enables the public to know more about Professional Qualifications system and promotes comprehensive and sustainable development of the system.

The Thailand Professional Qualification Institute (Public Organization) has developed a system for competency development based on Occupational Standards and Professional Qualifications, known as E-Training. This system supports electronic and digital content in accordance with Occupational Standards, prioritizing high potential industries. E-training covers 22 professional fields from a total of 49 professional fields that TPQI had developed occupational standards during the fiscal years 2013-2017. In addition, e-training covers 10 core industrial sectors and sectors that support sustainability. These sectors have the potential to become key drivers of the country's economy (New Growth Engine) and align with the Thailand 4.0 policy. The e-training courses promote high-quality lifelong learning, supporting the Plan for Raising Education Quality, which aims to create learning resources for the nation's workforce both within and outside the formal education system. The e-training courses focuses on enhancing competencies in the core industrial sectors and serves as a crucial mechanism in elevating the skills of the workforce in line with the Professional Qualification system, which will lead to an increased ability to compete globally, create more opportunities, generate income, and reduce social inequality. The goal is to foster a stable, prosperous, and sustainable future, helping Thailand escape the middle-income trap as outlined in the national strategy and development plan, and transform the country into Thailand 4.0 with a focus on "Thai People 4.0".
TPQI E-Training and the API R1 system supports organizations that look for online courses to develop skills of their staff. This service aims to promote access to innovative learning in the Professional Qualifications system in order to ensure that organizations can meet their specific learning needs more effectively.
